Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Perform calculations for load analysis, short circuit, voltage drop, and protective device coordination.
- Select and specify electrical components, equipment, and materials in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess existing electrical infrastructure and identify improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, specifications, and bill of materials.
- Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant safety regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE, local codes).
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and software engineers.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources related to electrical engineering tasks.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP)
- Strong understanding of power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation
- Knowledge of national and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA, IEE Wiring Regulations)
- Experience with protective relaying and coordination
- Ability to perform electrical calculations and analyses
