Career.supersecrets is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our growing team, serving our retail chain partners in Ngororero, Western Province. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about retail, visual aesthetics, and driving sales through effective product presentation. As a Merchandiser, you will be the visual storyteller for various products, responsible for creating engaging and attractive displays that capture customer attention and enhance their shopping experience. Your day-to-day will involve a blend of creative planning and hands-on execution. You’ll work closely with store management and sales teams to understand specific needs, implement promotional campaigns, and ensure our products stand out in a competitive market. Beyond aesthetics, this role requires a keen eye for inventory management, ensuring stock levels meet demand and minimizing out-of-stock situations. Key Responsibilities
- Execute visual merchandising strategies and planograms for various product categories.
- Ensure products are displayed attractively, logically, and in accordance with brand standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Implement and maintain promotional displays, signage, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with store staff and management to optimize product placement and store layout.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
- Analyze sales performance data to inform merchandising decisions and strategies.
- Provide feedback on product performance, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe merchandising environment.
- Assist with new product launches and seasonal resets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail merchandising or visual display.
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and retail best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise (up to 15 kg).
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
