Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Dye Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation and application of dyes to fabrics, ensuring consistent color accuracy and high-quality results. This role requires a keen eye for color, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dyeing processes and chemistry. The Dye Maker will work closely with other members of the production team to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery of orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the preparation of dye baths, monitoring the dyeing process, quality control, maintaining accurate records, troubleshooting issues and contributing to improvements in our dyeing processes. A successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques. This role requires working in a fast-paced production environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and adhering to strict quality control standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare dye baths according to prescribed formulas and procedures.
- Monitor the dyeing process, ensuring consistent color accuracy and quality.
- Inspect dyed fabrics for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of dyeing procedures and results.
- Troubleshoot dyeing problems and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Contribute to process improvements and new techniques.
- Maintain equipment in optimal working condition.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of textile dyeing processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in color matching and adjustment.
- Experience with various types of dyes and fabrics.
- Understanding of dyeing chemistry and principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot dyeing problems and implement solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and formulas.
- Good record-keeping skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Textile Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dye Maker.
- Experience working with natural dyes a plus.
- Experience with various dyeing machines and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a textile dyeing environment.
