We are seeking a highly professional, discreet, and experienced Live-in Private Household Driver to provide exceptional transportation services to a principal associated with Transcorp Hilton Abuja. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who values privacy, punctuality, and a meticulous approach to their work. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and comfortable transport of the principal and their family members, adhering to the highest standards of safety, discretion, and confidentiality. This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and a commitment to maintaining the assigned vehicle(s) in pristine condition. As a live-in position, comfortable accommodation will be provided within the principal’s premises, requiring a candidate who is comfortable with this arrangement and can integrate seamlessly into a private household environment while maintaining professional boundaries. Your role is crucial in facilitating the principal’s daily activities and ensuring their peace of mind regarding transportation needs. You will be expected to manage routes efficiently, anticipate potential delays, and react calmly and professionally to unforeseen circumstances, always prioritizing the safety and comfort of the principal. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport the principal and family members to various destinations, including appointments, meetings, events, and personal errands.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in immaculate condition, ensuring regular cleaning, servicing, and necessary repairs are carried out promptly and proactively.
- Plan and execute optimal routes, considering traffic conditions, road closures, and security protocols, to ensure timely arrival at all destinations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining an impeccable driving record and safe driving practices at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, packages, and other items as required, providing courteous and helpful assistance.
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, fuel replenishment, and necessary registration renewals efficiently and without prompting.
- Maintain utmost discretion and confidentiality regarding all household and principal affairs, upholding privacy standards.
- Be available for flexible working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips, adapting to the principal's schedule.
- Provide security awareness and act proactively to ensure the safety and well-being of the principal and vehicle during all journeys.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance for accountability and transparency.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G preferred) with an impeccable driving record.
- Proven experience of at least 4 years as a private driver or chauffeur for high-net-worth individuals or executives.
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and surrounding areas, including alternative routes.
- Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and a respectful demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of respectful interaction within a private household.
