Your primary responsibility will be to provide seamless transportation services for the employer, family members, and occasionally guests, handling a variety of trips including daily commutes, school runs, appointments, errands, and special events. Discretion, punctuality, and a proactive approach are paramount in this role. You will be expected to maintain the assigned vehicle(s) to impeccable standards, ensuring they are always clean, fueled, and in excellent working condition. This includes performing routine checks, scheduling maintenance, and handling any necessary repairs promptly with approved service providers. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive knowledge of Lagos road networks, particularly Ikeja and its environs, demonstrating an ability to navigate traffic efficiently and choose optimal routes.
Beyond driving, the role may involve assisting with loading and unloading luggage, packages, and groceries, as well as providing support with minor household errands. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport employer, family members, and guests to various destinations.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in immaculate condition, inside and out.
- Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, water, tires, lights, etc.) and ensure all servicing and repairs are carried out as needed.
- Plan and execute efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and time constraints.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, groceries, and other items.
- Manage vehicle documentation, including insurance, registration, and licenses.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the employer’s affairs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Handle occasional errands and other duties as assigned by the employer.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class E or G preferred)
- Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or violations
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, especially Opebi, Ikeja, and surrounding areas
- Proven ability to navigate safely and efficiently in various traffic conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
