Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport the principal and any accompanying guests to scheduled destinations.
- Ensure strict punctuality for all appointments, pickups, and drop-offs.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in impeccable condition, including regular cleaning (interior and exterior), routine checks (oil, water, tyres, brakes), and timely fueling.
- Proactively plan routes, factoring in traffic conditions and road closures, utilizing GPS and local knowledge effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all Nigerian traffic laws and regulations, maintaining an exemplary driving record.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, parcels, or other items as required.
- Handle confidential information and schedules with the utmost discretion and integrity.
- Communicate effectively and professionally regarding vehicle maintenance needs, potential delays, or changes in schedule.
- Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays, based on the principal's requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a courteous, respectful demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years (60 months) proven experience as a private driver for a senior executive or high-net-worth individual.
- Impeccable driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
- Exceptional knowledge of Lagos road networks, alternative routes, and traffic patterns.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Highly punctual, reliable, and organized.
- Outstanding ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as per schedule demands.
