Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, highly reliable, and discreet professional Driver to join a private household in Ikorodu, Lagos, operating under a live-in arrangement. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated individual who values long-term commitment and a stable working environment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide safe, punctual, and comfortable transportation for an executive and their family members, ensuring all journeys are conducted with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. As a live-in driver, you will be an integral part of supporting the daily logistics of the household. This includes not only scheduled commutes and appointments but also handling errands, ensuring the vehicle is always in pristine condition, and managing its basic maintenance needs. The ideal candidate will possess an intimate knowledge of Lagos road networks, particularly Ikorodu and its environs, and be adept at navigating various traffic conditions safely. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for the employer and family members to various destinations, including business meetings, school runs, social events, and personal appointments.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in excellent working condition, ensuring regular cleaning (interior and exterior), timely servicing, and minor repairs.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Plan and execute efficient routes, considering traffic patterns, road conditions, and preferred travel times, while always prioritizing safety.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, groceries, and other items as needed.
- Manage vehicle documentation, including insurance, registration, and licensing, ensuring all are current.
- Run errands, perform administrative tasks, and assist with household support functions as directed by the employer.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the employer's personal and business affairs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring a smooth and compliant driving experience.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly to the employer.
- Be available on-call for urgent transportation needs within reasonable limits, as part of the live-in arrangement.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional driving experience, preferably in a private or corporate setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, traffic laws, and alternative routes.
- Strong defensive driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and minor repairs.
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and discretion.
- Punctuality and strong time management skills.
