Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicle safely and efficiently for deliveries within Kwali, Abuja, and surrounding areas.
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines and optimize efficiency.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling, security, and integrity of all items during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and complete necessary documentation (e.g., waybills, proof of delivery).
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or service disruptions to management promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all national traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions, ensuring professional and courteous conduct at all times.
- Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned company vehicle.
- Handle cash or payment collections accurately and securely as required, following company procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid Class E or G Driver's License (Nigerian) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery role.
- Excellent knowledge of Kwali, Abuja road networks, routes, and traffic patterns.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 25 kg regularly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer and team interaction.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
