Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided vehicle to transport goods and packages to designated locations within Katampe and the wider Abuja area.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, considering traffic, road conditions, and delivery deadlines.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, documenting any maintenance needs or issues.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of goods, protecting them from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Interact professionally with clients, ensuring a positive delivery experience and addressing any immediate concerns.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery schedules effectively to meet customer expectations and operational efficiency.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical failures promptly to the logistics supervisor.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Physical fitness to load, unload, and move packages as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC) or equivalent.
- Experience with delivery tracking software or mobile applications.
