Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently for deliveries and collections across Abuja, FCT.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely delivery, utilizing navigation tools.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Ensure the safety and security of all packages and documents during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper handling.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy at all times.
- Adapt to changes in delivery schedules or routes as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in Abuja
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate a variety of company vehicles (vans, small trucks)
- Good organizational and time management skills
- High degree of punctuality and reliability
- Commitment to safety and responsible driving practices
- Ability to lift and carry packages as required
