Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our dynamic logistics team in Bwari, Abuja. This pivotal role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of goods and materials across designated routes. As a Logistics & Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our commitment to excellence, playing a crucial part in our supply chain operations and contributing directly to customer satisfaction. We are looking for an individual with a strong sense of responsibility, exceptional driving skills, and a customer-centric attitude. You will be expected to meticulously plan routes, handle goods with care, maintain accurate delivery records, and uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This is more than just driving; it’s about managing logistics on the go, navigating the city efficiently, and ensuring every package reaches its destination without a hitch. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving on the road, communicate effectively with dispatch and clients, and possess a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods and materials to various destinations within Bwari and surrounding areas.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Load, unload, and secure items appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records of goods, and vehicle mileage.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and customers regarding delivery status or potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned company vehicle.
- Handle cash payments or secure signatures for delivered goods as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G minimum, or appropriate for light/medium commercial vehicles)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (logistics or delivery preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Bwari, Abuja roads and traffic regulations
- Strong navigation skills and ability to use GPS devices/apps effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights
- High level of integrity, punctuality, and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with electronic delivery tracking systems
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent
