Career.supersecrets is actively seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and professional Driver – Logistics & Delivery to join our growing team in Garki, Abuja. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods, documents, and personnel across various locations within Abuja and occasionally to nearby states, utilising a company-provided vehicle. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our logistical operations run smoothly, punctually, and in full compliance with all traffic laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle for the transportation of goods, documents, and personnel.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines and optimize fuel consumption.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
- Ensure all cargo is securely loaded, protected, and accounted for before, during, and after transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance in logbooks or digital systems.
- Adhere strictly to all local traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients and partners.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
- Manage and reconcile daily delivery manifests and any cash payments or documentation received.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, both inside and out.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics coordinator regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Represent Career.supersecrets with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G minimum)
- Proven experience as a professional driver for at least 3 years
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong navigational skills using GPS and physical maps
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 25 kg)
- Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations
Preferred Qualifications
- SSCE/GCE/NECO or equivalent educational qualification
- Previous experience in logistics or parcel delivery services
- Familiarity with modern delivery management software or apps
- Defensive driving certification
- Basic first aid knowledge
