This pivotal full-time role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of various goods to our esteemed clients across Kuje and the wider Abuja metropolitan area. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated locations within Kuje, Abuja, and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools as needed.
- Load, unload, and secure items for delivery, ensuring their safety and integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery, mileage, and fuel logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Handle cash or digital payments from customers if required, with proper accountability.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license (Class E or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Excellent knowledge of Kuje, Abuja road networks and traffic patterns
- Ability to operate a company vehicle responsibly and safely
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages (up to 25kg)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of responsibility and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent
- Experience with courier or logistics companies
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Defensive driving certification
