Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, and personnel across Wuye, Abuja, and specified routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in excellent working condition and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools and local area knowledge effectively.
- Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentable appearance of the company vehicle.
- Assist with other logistical and operational tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G minimum, or equivalent for commercial vehicles)
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional driving experience
- Thorough knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Excellent navigation skills and ability to use GPS devices/applications
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (oil, tires, water, etc.)
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Defensive Driving Certification
- Previous experience in courier, logistics, or corporate delivery services
- Familiarity with digital dispatch systems or mobile logistics apps
