Career.supersecrets is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Driver to join our client’s logistics and delivery team in Suleja, Abuja. This pivotal role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods and personnel across designated routes. As a Driver – Logistics & Delivery, you will be a critical link in our operational chain, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of our services. Your day-to-day will involve more than just driving; it requires careful route planning, meticulous adherence to traffic regulations, and a commitment to maintaining the company vehicle in optimal condition. You will be responsible for loading and unloading packages, ensuring proper documentation, and interacting professionally with clients and team members. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to transport goods, materials, or personnel.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries and pick-ups.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and other operational data.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Assist with warehouse or loading bay duties as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the company vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class G minimum)
- Excellent knowledge of Suleja, Abuja, and surrounding areas road networks
- Proven ability to drive safely and responsibly
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
