Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a company-owned vehicle for transportation and delivery tasks.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes in Kwali, Abuja, and surrounding areas.
- Load, unload, and secure goods, ensuring their safe transit and delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle mileage, and fuel consumption records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status.
- Assist with other general logistics tasks as required.
- Ensure timely delivery of packages and parcels to designated locations.
- Handle cash or payment transactions upon delivery, if applicable, and reconcile daily.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G/E).
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of Kwali, Abuja road networks and traffic regulations.
- Strong defensive driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry packages.
- High degree of punctuality and reliability.
