Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided vehicle for the transportation of goods and personnel.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries and pickups.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in excellent working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any vehicle maintenance issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring goods are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery contents against shipping documents and obtain necessary signatures and proof of delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and colleagues regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, well-maintained, and fueled at all times.
- Handle all delivered items with care and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G preferred)
- Clean driving record
- Proven experience in logistics and delivery driving
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong navigation and route planning abilities
- Ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks (fluid levels, tire pressure)
- Good physical stamina for loading/unloading goods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE/WASC/GCE certificate
- At least 2 years of professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery role
