Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly reliable and professional Driver to join our logistics and delivery team in Kubwa, Abuja. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods, packages, and sometimes personnel, utilizing a company-provided vehicle. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport goods, packages, and occasionally personnel using a company-provided vehicle.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues or required maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant operational data.
- Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean, fueled, and in optimal working condition at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, adapting to traffic conditions and road closures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics coordinators, and clients regarding delivery status and any unforeseen delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Handle delivery documentation, including waybills, invoices, and proofs of delivery, with accuracy.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times during interactions with clients and the public.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license (Class E or G)
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience in Abuja or similar urban environments
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to traffic laws
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent
- Experience with delivery logistics software or GPS navigation systems
- First Aid and Defensive Driving certifications
