Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly motivated and responsible Driver for Logistics & Delivery, operating a company vehicle in the Maitama, Abuja area. This full-time position is critical to ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods, documents, and personnel, supporting our clients’ diverse operational needs. The successful candidate will be a key player in maintaining the flow of essential services, upholding safety standards, and providing exceptional service on every route. You will be responsible for navigating various routes within Abuja and occasionally beyond, performing routine vehicle checks, and meticulously documenting deliveries and collections. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and an unwavering commitment to road safety and vehicle maintenance. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, and personnel to designated locations within Abuja and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on schedule, adhering to specified routes and traffic regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring secure handling and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, company policies, and client protocols.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, ensuring it is always in optimal operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and colleagues regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Represent the client professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license with excellent driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery
- Thorough knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages as required
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent
- Defensive driving certification
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and delivery tracking applications
- First Aid and Safety certification
