Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-owned vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations within Abuja and its environs.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools and local knowledge.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times, and proof of delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or any unforeseen issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients, representing Career.supersecrets professionally.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, performing minor maintenance tasks as required (e.g., checking tire pressure, fluid levels).
- Assist with warehouse duties or other logistical tasks when not actively driving, as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G minimum)
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations in the past 3 years
- Proven experience in logistics, delivery, or professional driving
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- SSCE/GCE/NECO or equivalent educational qualification
- Defensive driving certification
- Experience with GPS and route optimization software
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience driving panel vans or similar commercial vehicles
