Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our team, facilitating critical logistics and delivery operations within Garki, Abuja, and surrounding areas. This is a full-time position where you will be entrusted with a company vehicle to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods, documents, and occasionally personnel, as required. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth flow of our client’s operations, directly contributing to their customer satisfaction and overall business success.
As a Driver, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of safety, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to traffic regulations. You will navigate various routes, manage delivery schedules, and interact professionally with clients and internal staff. Attention to detail is paramount, from verifying delivery contents to completing necessary paperwork accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, or personnel to various destinations within Garki, Abuja, and surrounding areas.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic and road conditions.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized company vehicle at all times.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, manifest documents, and any other required paperwork.
- Load and unload items safely, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
- Assist with other general duties as assigned by the supervisor, including light errands or administrative support.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and client details.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G, as appropriate for vehicle type)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (logistics/delivery preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Garki, Abuja road networks and traffic patterns
- Proven clean driving record (no major accidents or traffic violations)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate a GPS device and other navigation tools
- Good verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg
- High degree of responsibility and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent
- Experience with courier or logistics companies
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
