Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly motivated and responsible Driver – Logistics & Delivery to join our dynamic team in Aso Rock, Abuja. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, documents, and personnel using a company-provided vehicle. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, and personnel to designated locations within Abuja and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in excellent working condition.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly to management.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general maintenance of the company vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery statuses and potential delays.
- Ensure all documentation (waybills, receipts, permits) is accurately completed and submitted.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class E minimum)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (logistics or delivery preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic patterns
- Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to traffic laws
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret maps/GPS devices
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and prolonged driving hours
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Defensive driving certification
- Experience with courier or e-commerce delivery services
- First Aid and CPR certification
