Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to various locations within Zuba and across Abuja.
- Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients and recipients.
- Ensure the cleanliness and good working condition of the company vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other general tasks during periods of low delivery volume, as required.
- Handle delivery documentation, including waybills, invoices, and delivery notes, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G or higher)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience (company vehicle experience preferred)
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or traffic violations
- Thorough knowledge of Zuba and Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility and attention to detail
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
