Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for the transport of goods, packages, and personnel as required, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, optimizing time and fuel consumption while meeting scheduled delivery times.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues, damage, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure the secure loading, unloading, and proper handling of all items to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal staff regarding delivery status, delays, or challenges.
- Handle all paperwork, including delivery manifests, invoices, and receipts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Represent Career.supersecrets professionally at all times, maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude towards clients and the public.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, inside and out, ensuring a professional appearance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices, including proper use of safety equipment.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license (Class E or G preferred)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Proven experience in logistics, delivery, or professional driving
- Excellent knowledge of Kwali, Abuja, and surrounding road networks
- Strong navigational skills and ability to use GPS/mapping applications
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights (up to 50 lbs)
- High level of responsibility and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO qualification
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) or delivery management software
- Previous experience driving light-duty trucks or vans
- First Aid and defensive driving certification
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends if required
