We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Driver – Logistics & Delivery professional to join our team in Dutse, Abuja. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle for the transport of goods and personnel.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools.
- Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Assist with other logistical tasks and general duties as required by management.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and presentability at all times.
- Handle cash or digital payments and process necessary documentation for deliveries.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E minimum)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Proven experience as a professional driver (logistics, delivery, or corporate driving)
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting ability
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with electronic proof of delivery systems
- Defensive driving certification
- Familiarity with Dutse and surrounding areas specifically
