Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided vehicles for the transportation of goods, packages, and personnel.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools as required.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road signs, and company safety regulations at all times.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or unforeseen delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, both inside and out.
- Assist with other logistics-related tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class G minimum)
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable professional driving experience
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
