Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, and personnel as required.
- Ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries according to schedules and established routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as needed, ensuring proper handling and security of goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or potential delays.
- Handle sensitive documents and packages with utmost care and confidentiality.
- Represent the company professionally at all times during interactions with clients and the public.
- Adapt to changes in routes or schedules and demonstrate flexibility in managing tasks.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G minimum)
- Proven experience as a professional driver with a clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of Karu, Abuja roads, and surrounding areas
- Ability to operate various types of company vehicles safely
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws
