We are actively seeking a diligent and experienced Driver to join our logistics and delivery team in Abuja. This pivotal role involves the safe and timely transportation of goods, documents, and personnel using a company-provided vehicle. As a Driver at Career.supersecrets, you will be the face of our commitment to efficient and reliable service, operating primarily within Abuja and occasionally to nearby states as required. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate trip logs, ensuring the security of items during transit, and adhering strictly to all traffic laws and company policies.
This position requires a professional who is not only a skilled driver but also possesses a strong sense of responsibility, excellent time management abilities, and a customer-focused attitude. You will interact with various stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, and vendors, necessitating clear communication and a polite demeanor. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle for the transportation of goods, documents, and personnel.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, adjusting as necessary due to traffic or road conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant logs.
- Ensure the security and proper handling of all items during loading, transit, and unloading.
- Adhere strictly to all national and local traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, colleagues, clients, and vendors.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring they are properly secured.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working order of the assigned company vehicle.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class E minimum)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (trucks, vans, or commercial vehicles)
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand maps and GPS devices
- Good verbal communication skills
- High level of responsibility and reliability
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
