Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, light trucks) for the transportation of goods to various locations within Lagos and beyond.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, adhering to predetermined schedules and routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with clients and customers during deliveries.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G or E endorsement preferable).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional driving experience, preferably in a logistics or commercial setting.
- Thorough knowledge of Lagos road networks, particularly Ikorodu and surrounding areas.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Experience driving various types of commercial vehicles.
- Certificate in Defensive Driving or similar safety training.
- Familiarity with using GPS navigation systems and mobile mapping applications.
