Career.supersecrets is actively seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and experienced Driver to join our dedicated logistics team in Tin Can Island, Apapa. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods and materials to designated locations within Tin Can Island, Apapa, Lagos, and surrounding regions.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and brakes, reporting any defects or malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and all necessary documentation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and general maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure smooth operations and address any delivery-related issues.
- Handle delivery paperwork, including obtaining signatures and verifying cargo against invoices.
- Represent the company professionally at all times while on duty.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license (Class E or G, depending on vehicle type)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably within a logistics or distribution setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, especially Apapa, Tin Can Island, and major routes.
- Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and prolonged driving hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving heavy-duty vehicles (e.g., trucks, trailers).
- Familiarity with GPS devices and route optimization software.
- Knowledge of cargo handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
