Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods, packages, and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure efficient delivery schedules and minimize fuel consumption.
- Handle delivery documentation accurately, including waybills, invoices, and proofs of delivery.
- Represent the company professionally during all interactions with clients and the public.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Class G (or equivalent) Driver's License.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a logistics or commercial setting.
- Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
- Thorough knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
