Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks) for the transportation of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of goods, securing cargo to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Represent the company professionally to clients and the public.
- Assist with other operational tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G/Commercial).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in Lagos.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic patterns.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance basics and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50kg).
- Proficiency in verbal communication (English and local dialects).
- Impeccable driving record with no major violations.
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE).
- Experience with logistics software or navigation apps.
- Defensive driving certification.
- First Aid knowledge.
- Customer service experience.
