Carrefour UAE is seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver (Light Vehicle) to join our growing logistics and delivery team in Al Barsha, Dubai. In this crucial role, you will be the face of Carrefour, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our valued customers and between our various operational sites. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate light vehicles for delivering goods to customers or company locations within Dubai, particularly the Al Barsha area.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools and local knowledge.
- Load and unload products carefully, ensuring accurate count and condition before and after delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation, including proof of delivery.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all UAE traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling inquiries professionally.
- Assist with other operational tasks as required, including warehouse support.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and presentability at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid UAE Driving License (Light Vehicle)
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably in the UAE
- Excellent knowledge of Dubai roads and traffic regulations, especially Al Barsha
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights
- Good time management and organizational abilities
- A clean driving record
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail, logistics, or food delivery services
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile delivery applications
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per operational needs
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other local languages is a plus
