Job Description
We are seeking a highly professional, discreet, and experienced Executive Driver to provide seamless and secure transportation services for a discerning private household in Ipaja, Alimosho. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safe, punctual, and comfortable travel of principals and their guests, primarily within Lagos and occasionally to other states. The ideal candidate will possess an impeccable driving record, profound knowledge of Lagos road networks, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of vehicle care and personal conduct. You will be an integral part of ensuring the household’s daily operations run smoothly, requiring exceptional time management, strong communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to confidentiality. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for principals and their family members to various destinations, including business meetings, social engagements, and personal errands.
- Plan and execute efficient routes, considering traffic patterns, road conditions, and security protocols to ensure timely arrival and departure.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure it is in optimal operating condition, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness, both interior and exterior, to impeccable standards at all times.
- Manage vehicle documentation, including insurance, registration, and service records, ensuring all are current.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing the safety and comfort of passengers.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the household's activities, schedules, and personal information.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, packages, and other items as required.
- Be available for flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel, as per household requirements.
- Demonstrate proactive maintenance awareness, scheduling servicing and repairs as needed.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a courteous attitude in all interactions.
- Handle unexpected situations or emergencies calmly and effectively.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Class B (or equivalent) Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a private or executive driver, preferably within a private household setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Lagos road networks and alternative routes.
- Excellent defensive driving skills and a strong commitment to passenger safety.
- High level of discretion, trustworthiness, and confidentiality.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to perform minor vehicle checks and maintenance.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
