Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly professional, reliable, and experienced Driver for a prominent corporate household situated in the vibrant Sangotedo, Lekki area. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who embodies discretion, punctuality, and an unwavering commitment to safety and service excellence. As a Corporate Household Driver, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of a demanding yet rewarding environment, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of principals, their family members, and occasional guests. This role requires more than just driving; it demands an understanding of sophisticated private household dynamics, impeccable presentation, and proactive logistical planning.
You will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle(s) to the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency, conducting routine checks, and coordinating servicing as needed. Your deep knowledge of Sangotedo, Lekki, and wider Lagos routes will be invaluable in navigating traffic efficiently and planning optimal travel paths. Beyond driving, the role may involve assisting with minor errands, package delivery, and ensuring a comfortable and secure travel experience at all times. We are looking for a candidate who is not only a skilled driver but also a trusted member of the household support team, capable of working independently and as part of a cohesive unit, always upholding the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport principals, family members, and guests to various destinations within Lagos, primarily Sangotedo, Lekki, and its environs.
- Plan optimal routes considering traffic patterns, road conditions, and security protocols to ensure punctuality.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in pristine condition, ensuring cleanliness, regular servicing, and timely fueling.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, groceries, packages, and other items as required.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and household security policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding household affairs and movements.
- Record mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Manage minor vehicle emergencies, such as tire changes, and arrange for professional assistance when necessary.
- Be available for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays, as per household needs.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G, with proven driving experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate or private household setting.
- Impeccable driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
- Extensive knowledge of Lagos road networks, especially Sangotedo, Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and Ikeja.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (oil, water, tires, lights).
- Familiarity with luxury vehicle operations and maintenance standards.
- Ability to use GPS navigation systems effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced defensive driving certification or equivalent specialized training.
- Experience with armored vehicles or executive protection driving.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba).
- References from previous private household or corporate employers.
