Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior draftsmen and engineers in preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints using CAD software.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on redlines, markups, and design changes provided by project leads.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to established industry standards, company policies, and project specifications.
- Maintain organized digital drawing files and documentation, ensuring easy accessibility and version control.
- Communicate effectively with team members through virtual collaboration tools, providing updates and seeking clarification as needed.
- Conduct basic research to support design projects and ensure accuracy of specifications.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and contribute to project discussions.
- Proactively identify and report potential drawing discrepancies or issues to project managers.
- Learn and adapt to new software, tools, and drafting techniques as required by evolving project demands.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
- Strong understanding of fundamental drafting principles and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing creation.
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural sketches, specifications, and client requirements.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote team collaboration.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
- Previous experience (even internship or academic projects) creating technical drawings.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software.
