EndemolShine Netherlands is seeking a dedicated Digital Rights Management Specialist to join our Content and Legal team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and meticulously maintain our comprehensive digital rights management (DRM) systems and databases, ensuring absolute accuracy and completeness of all rights-related information and metadata.
- Proactively monitor diverse digital platforms (e.g., YouTube, various social media channels, streaming services, and emerging platforms) for any unauthorized use, exploitation, or infringement of EndemolShine Netherlands' copyrighted content.
- Effectively issue takedown notices and expertly manage content claims using established DRM tools and sophisticated protocols, such as YouTube's Content ID system and other similar proprietary content identification technologies.
- Collaborate closely with internal legal counsel on complex infringement cases and provide robust support for litigation efforts when necessary to protect our intellectual property.
- Thoroughly review and accurately interpret intricate licensing agreements, distribution contracts, and intellectual property clauses to ensure proper rights utilization and strict compliance with all terms.
- Provide expert advice, strategic guidance, and comprehensive training to internal stakeholders (including production, sales, marketing, and digital teams) on critical rights clearances, usage restrictions, and intellectual property best practices.
- Develop and rigorously implement innovative strategies to optimize content monetization and revenue generation through highly effective and proactive rights management.
- Stay continuously updated on industry trends, the rapid evolution of digital platforms, and significant changes in intellectual property law relevant to content distribution and protection.
- Prepare regular, insightful reports on rights usage, detailed infringement activities, and precise monetization performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist in the seamless onboarding and comprehensive training of new staff members on all DRM policies, procedures, and relevant compliance protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven track record and substantial experience (minimum 4 years) in digital rights management, content protection, or intellectual property within the dynamic media or entertainment industry.
- Strong, in-depth understanding of copyright law, content licensing, and digital content distribution methodologies.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with leading DRM platforms and sophisticated content identification tools (e.g., YouTube Content ID, Audible Magic, Gracenote).
- Excellent analytical abilities coupled with a meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Superior communication and exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating and influencing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex legal documents and intricate contractual agreements with precision.
- Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, essential for our international operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Media Studies, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Prior experience working within a large-scale media production or international content distribution company.
- Working knowledge of Dutch intellectual property law and local media regulations.
