Key Responsibilities
- Monitor digital platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, streaming services) for unauthorized usage of Sony Music's copyrighted content.
- Utilize Content ID and other digital rights management tools to identify, claim, and monetize or block infringing content.
- Investigate and resolve copyright claims and disputes efficiently and in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with legal teams to escalate complex infringement cases and contribute to enforcement strategies.
- Manage and maintain accurate metadata for digital assets to optimize rights management and monetization.
- Prepare regular reports on content usage, infringement trends, and revenue generated from rights management activities.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and evolving copyright laws pertaining to digital content.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and intellectual property rights.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on DRM best practices and copyright awareness.
Required Skills
- 2-3 years of experience in Digital Rights Management, content protection, or intellectual property in the music or entertainment industry.
- Proficiency with major DRM platforms and content identification systems (e.g., YouTube Content ID, Facebook Rights Manager).
- Strong understanding of copyright law and intellectual property rights, particularly in the digital domain.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Law, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with database management and reporting tools.
