Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, documents, and other items to designated locations within Sharjah City.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles with meticulous care, ensuring items are secured properly.
- Verify delivery addresses and recipient information before dispatch and upon arrival.
- Handle cash and electronic payments for cash-on-delivery orders, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including proof of delivery and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or unforeseen delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as sorting, packing, and organizing items when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid driving license (UAE or international equivalent acceptable for conversion)
- Ability to navigate using GPS and map applications
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25 kg)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of punctuality and reliability
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic understanding of English for communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a delivery or logistics role
- Familiarity with Sharjah City routes and landmarks
- Experience with handheld delivery devices or mobile applications
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as needed
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Tagalog) are a plus
