In this full-time role, you will be responsible for navigating the vibrant streets of George, utilizing your own reliable motorcycle or scooter to make timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities
- Pick up food orders from various partner restaurants within George promptly and efficiently.
- Deliver food orders safely and in a timely manner to customers' specified locations.
- Ensure the correct order is delivered to the correct customer every time.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service, interacting with a positive and professional attitude.
- Handle cash or digital payments accurately and efficiently when required.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety policies.
- Keep delivery vehicle (motorcycle/scooter) clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, restaurant staff, and customers regarding order status or delays.
- Utilize delivery application effectively for navigation, order management, and communication.
Required Skills
- Valid South African driver's license for a motorcycle or scooter.
- Own reliable motorcycle or scooter in good condition with valid registration and insurance.
- Own smartphone with a stable data plan and the ability to run delivery applications.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with the George, Western Cape area.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities to ensure timely deliveries.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage routes efficiently.
- Physical stamina to handle extended periods of riding and varied weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in food delivery or a similar courier role.
- Good working knowledge of George and surrounding suburbs.
- Familiarity with basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans would be an advantage.
