Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick up food orders from various partner restaurants within Ikeja, Lagos.
- Safely and promptly deliver orders to customers at their specified locations.
- Navigate routes effectively using maps and GPS technology, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a polite and professional demeanor at all times.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and responsibly.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of food items during transit, using appropriate storage.
- Communicate effectively with customers, restaurants, and dispatch team regarding order status or delays.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the provided delivery equipment.
- Adhere to all Jumia Food operational guidelines and standards.
Required Skills
- Valid rider's license (motorcycle)
- Proficiency in riding a motorcycle safely and efficiently
- Excellent knowledge of Ikeja and surrounding Lagos areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use smartphone applications for navigation and order management
- Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible
- Customer-centric approach with a polite and professional attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery rider or courier
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor motorcycle maintenance
