Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company delivery vehicle (non-CDL) to transport automotive parts and products to commercial and retail customers.
- Verify accuracy of parts loaded for delivery and match against invoices and manifests.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including positive interactions and accurate order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local delivery regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly fueled delivery vehicle.
- Assist with in-store duties, including stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and general merchandising, when not actively on delivery routes.
- Process payments and obtain signatures upon delivery, as needed, ensuring accurate transaction completion.
- Communicate effectively with store management and dispatch regarding delivery status, potential delays, or any encountered issues.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Handle parts and products carefully to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 1 year.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic understanding of automotive parts (preferred, but not strictly required for initial hire).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Sandy Springs, GA area and surrounding neighborhoods, including efficient route planning.
