Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver goods to various addresses within Vereeniging and surrounding areas.
- Follow designated routes and time schedules, adapting to real-time traffic or delivery changes as necessary.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
- Ensure accurate handling and delivery of packages, verifying contents against delivery manifests.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Perform pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Collect payments (if required) and accurately process documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic care of the delivery vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Code 08 (B) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Vereeniging, Gauteng area and local routes.
