Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items according to fabric type, colour, and degree of soiling.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor water and chemical levels, ensuring proper use of detergents and softeners.
- Fold, press, and organize clean linen, towels, and staff uniforms according to hotel standards.
- Inspect laundered items for stains or damage and re-process as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Manage linen inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure timely delivery of clean linen to rooms.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to guest privacy and security.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy laundry bags.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
