We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated High School Teacher to join our esteemed faculty at Drakensberg Secondary School. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational philosophy.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in one or more high school subjects to diverse groups of students.
- Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and respectful interaction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects, share best practices, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
- Participate actively in extra-curricular activities, school events, and parent-teacher meetings to support student development.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
- Valid SACE (South African Council for Educators) registration.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching at least one high school subject, with a solid understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, Google Workspace) for administrative and teaching tasks.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching a second official South African language, particularly IsiZulu.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching at the high school level.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices to cater to varied student needs.
- Involvement in school leadership roles, committee participation, or mentoring programs.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology effectively into the learning process to enhance engagement.
- Specialization in high-demand subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or English Home Language.
