Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch database software and related tools across various environments.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Design, implement, and test robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Implement and maintain database security, including user accounts, roles, privileges, and data encryption.
- Perform database tuning and optimization for improved performance and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related problems, including connectivity, storage, and query performance issues.
- Collaborate with development teams on database design, data modeling, SQL query optimization, and application integration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical production support as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
