Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input and update customer, financial, and operational data into various internal systems and databases.
- Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established formats and standards.
- Identify and correct data discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies through thorough review and cross-referencing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols for all sensitive information handled, adhering to POPIA and internal data governance policies.
- Organize and file documents, both electronic and physical (when necessary), ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping policies.
- Generate reports and summaries based on entered data as required by management or other departments.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve data-related issues and continuously improve data quality processes.
- Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and data protection laws.
- Assist with data cleanup projects, system migrations, and database maintenance as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance data entry efficiency and accuracy through process improvements and technology utilization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Specialist or similar administrative role (minimum 18 months).
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60 WPM with high accuracy).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced functions), Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information responsibly.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, ergonomic home office setup conducive to productivity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
