Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data models and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to visualize key performance indicators and business trends.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various relational databases for analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, define requirements, and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights that can inform business strategy and operational improvements.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards.
- Automate reporting processes where possible to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and written reports.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our data analytics capabilities and best practices.
- Participate in data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Proven expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, report design, and deployment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense).
- Knowledge of other programming languages for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in German is a plus.
