Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preparation of raw data from various sources within the bank (e.g., transaction records, customer demographics, operational metrics, regional market data).
- Perform basic data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies using tools like Microsoft Excel and SQL, focusing on local market performance.
- Support senior data analysts in developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights relevant to branch performance and customer behavior in the Abakaliki region.
- Contribute to the creation of presentations and summaries of analytical findings for various stakeholders, including branch management and regional executives.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and analyses, adhering to the bank's strict data governance policies.
- Collaborate with different departments, including operations, sales, and customer service, to understand their data needs and provide appropriate analytical support.
- Learn and apply best practices in data management, analysis, and visualization techniques relevant to the financial industry.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance data analysis skills and knowledge of banking operations and products.
- Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues and ensuring data quality standards are met across all data projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization).
- Basic understanding and practical experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
