You will leverage your expertise to design, implement, and manage cutting-edge security solutions, performing comprehensive security assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and advising on compliance with key regulations like GDPR and NIS2. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and prioritize weaknesses in client systems and applications.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory frameworks.
  • Actively monitor security systems, analyze logs and alerts, and lead prompt and effective responses to security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption and thorough remediation.
  • Provide expert consultation and strategic guidance on cybersecurity risks, controls, and mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of impactful cybersecurity awareness and training programs for client personnel.
  • Continuously research and stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., IT, legal, business units) to embed security considerations throughout the entire IT project lifecycle.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive security reports, executive summaries, and presentations for diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, CIS Controls).
  • Hands-on experience with a range of security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, DLP, vulnerability scanners).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Practical experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, or a closely related technical field.
  • Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or equivalent.
  • Direct experience in incident response, digital forensics, or security operations center (SOC) environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry-specific compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is considered a significant asset.
